In conjunction with their current exhibition “PAST PRESENT: The Art of the Silver Gelatin Print,” Sulkin/Secant Gallery, in association with Pacific Art Ventures are pleased to announce: An Evening With the Artists, Featuring Guest Speaker Francie Kelley, Art Consultant. On March 7th from 5-8pm, guests are invited to mingle with the artists and listen to guest speaker, Francie Kelley give a presentation on “The Passion of Silver Prints” at 6pm.
4260 Black & White Photographers Guild is a versatile and dynamic guild celebrating the fine art of black and white photography created exclusively by using film negatives and traditional darkroom methods.
The exhibition “PAST PRESENT: The Art of the Silver Gelatin Print” is a unique showcase of 64 silver gelatin photographs currently on exhibit at the Sulkin/Secant Gallery at Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica, through March 2015.
Ms. Kelley, Art Consultant Specialist and owner of Paragone Gallery, Los Angeles, will be providing exciting tips for art collectors and interesting insights into the importance of both the contemporary and historic significance of black and white photography, and the passion behind the hand made tradition of the silver gelatin print.
Ms. Kelley’s projects include collaborations with Interior Designers Kelly Wearstler, Jamie Bush, KAA Design, Norman Design Group, Design Group Carl Ross and KNA Design. Collectors include celebrity clients as well as local and international hospitality and corporations such as The Bellagio, Viceroy Hotels, Four Seasons, Hilton, Hyatt, Mandalay Bay, NBC Universal, Toyota, USA SciFi Networks, NASA and USC.
