Fabrik Media proudly presents EXPO Contemporary Art Fair. The expo will run from April 21st through 23rd, 2017. This year, it will be located at the Reef in Downtown Los Angeles.
About EXPO Contemporary Art Fair
Our goal is to expand the art fair experience and expose our audience to a wider range of artists, media, and practices that represent the cultural, esthetic, and, conceptual diversity of contemporary art and design in the 21st century, and to function as a medium of exchange.
We aim to broaden our audience’s perspective about the nature of contemporary art by introducing them to not only traditional art mediums, but artists who are blurring the boundaries between art, design, architecture, environments, and media.
We recognize that a large number of excellent artists are not represented by galleries, and often don’t easily fit into the gallery landscape. Although they are engaged in a wide range of media and practices within their own communities they do not necessarily have the networks to connect with the professionals who can support their work and provide exposure to larger global audiences. EXPO Contemporary Art Fair offers a vital opportunity to make those connections and engage in a dialog between makers, presenters, consumers and critics.
We welcome a broad range of traditional and non-traditional media, materials, contexts. EXPO Contemporary Art Fair aims to showcase transformative projects, from mediums such as painters, photographers, printmakers, book and graphic artists, sculptors, assemblage and mixed media artists, and muralists. Installation artists, high concept designers, digital and media artists. Plus alternative contexts such as public art, and experimental architecture, environmental, social, and collaborative projects.
EXPO Contemporary Art Fair is the sister show to Photo Independent, which was successfully launched in 2014. It was the first photography-only artist fair of its kind, open to emerging and professional, unsigned or under-recognized photographers.
Both shows are produced by Fabrik Media, Inc., an LA-based multifaceted publishing and creative agency that supports artists and their mediums. In collaboration with a talented and passionate network of publishers, dealers, curators and arts professionals, Fabrik Media provides artists with professional opportunities to have their work exhibited, published and represented through various platforms including Fabrik Magazine, Fabrik Expo, Photo Independent and ArtCapitol.com.
Our Mission
EXPO Contemporary Art Fair is a celebration of art, design, multi-media and performance art in downtown LA’s Arts District. Applications are now open for EXPO Contemporary Art Fair 2017. Fabrik Expo’s mission is to establish a respected and unique platform that supports and empowers independent artists, designers and collaborative groups from around the world and provides them the opportunity to present and promote their work to a global audience.
