DomiTea Cholakian “channels Dutch masters through his contemporary still-lifes,” says artscenecal.com. The L.A. based contemporary artist uses realism to capture color and richness of detail. Also showing is “Squared Away,” the work of Chicago painter Tim Anderson, who employs metaphor and nautical references to present masterfully realized paintings on the lessons and richness of life’s travels. Anderson is also one of the founders of “The Coldhouse Group” – who in 1987 initiated a new and successful exhibition concept by using abandoned cold storage warehouses and rail terminals slated for demolition as temporary exhibition halls.
