Studio C Gallery: Water-Line: Inspiration for Change

Studio C Gallery will be hosting the 3rd annual All Women Artists group show, “Water-Line: Inspiration for Change” An opening reception will be held Saturday, May 23rd from 6-9 PM in conjunction with the Santa Fe Art Colony Open Studio event. The works will be on view through June 13, 2015.

Water-Line: Inspiration for Change emphasizes the theme of women and water.The connection between women and water, has remained an inspiration throughout time, in Art and Literature. This particular connectivity is shown through each artist’s personal contemplation on water, from environmental influence and change, to the sublime qualities that raise these questions. It is the intention of this exhibition to explore the feminine interpretation of water through a wide range of media and style.

Los Angeles Waterkeeper is a special sponsor of the Water-Line Exhibition. LA WaterKeeper was founded in 1993. It’s mission is to protect, restore, and conserve The Santa Monica Bay, San Pedro Bay, LA River and adjacent waters through enforcement, fieldwork and community action. www.LAWaterkeeper.org

Studio C Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting the work of women artists. They are committed in bringing attention to the feminine characteristics and trademarks of art making. Studio C creates a space for women artists to be emphasized, by producing one group exhibition and one solo exhibition per season. Studio C Gallery is located at the Santa Fe Art Colony, in DTLA.
